Do Laminam slabs adapt to curved surfaces because they contain plastic materials ?

No, Laminam slabs are made of totally natural and recyclable materials, typical of porcelain stoneware. The ability to adapt to slightly curved surfaces is due to the exclusive technological process with which they are produced. The production process, in fact, is based on the concept of compaction of raw materials that overcomes the traditional links of the traditional ceramic press. Laminam slabs are adapted to surfaces with a minimum radius of curvature of 5 meters.

Are Laminam slabs 3 mm thick translucent?

No, Laminam 3 slabs, although very subtle, have a surface that isolates light.

Are the Laminam slabs fragile?

Laminam is capable of producing large format slabs with a thickness between 3 and 6 mm. The particular technological process used produces ceramic slabs that, with equal thickness, have physical-mechanical characteristics superior to the tiles obtained through traditional technology, so that the slabs of 3 mm thickness also brilliantly outperform the tests more severe mechanical However, it is convenient to choose the most suitable thickness for each type of requirement. For example, roughly, for use as a tile for homes, Laminam 3+ slabs are suitable, while for floors of public and commercial spaces, Laminan 5 slabs are recommended. For countertops, the largest thickness can be used in individual 6 mm slab or use a compost slab (that is, obtained through the union of 2 individual slabs).

How do Laminam slabs react to fire?

Reaction to fire means the “degree of participation of a material in the development and spread of fire to which it has been subjected”. According to this definition, materials such as Laminam are classified into European categories as the probability of fire propagation increases according to the EN 13501 standard.
